The outrage of SBM is absurd when compared to what it should be over FD. At least SBM is a good song. Melody, interesting, solid lyrics...

It's nearly 4am. Im starving and considering going around to the shop to get a pizza.
This is a more pressing concern than future days.

Well, granted, it's not very good.
I understand that it could fit the album and be a nice closer in context but on its own its a terrible song. it feels like a song, at least musically speaking, that some 15 year old kid would write after staying up late with a "guitar chords for beginners" book. Ed is way better than that. I'm disappointed that the rest of the guys in the band wouldn't be like "yea, uh, okay, its fine, but put out another solo record, yea?"

It took 5 years to write and they could only be bothered to donate 6 weeks of their time to record it. I know what that means to me....

I actually really enjoy this song for the melody and the lyrics. ..the story that it tells and the visuals that it creates in my mind. I can understand why people are so divided over it though. We all have our reasons.

It doesn't usually take much longer to record an album. The time was hopefully spent writing it.
