When i finally listened to the leak i skipped over this and running a couple times. Not because i dont like those songs, but just because.... i had heard them enough.

But now moving through the album as a whole....they are starting to settle in with the rest of the crew.....

and i like them a hell of a lot more. Like, the other 9 songs...are great...and i felt myself feeling there should be more tunes.....but then you rememebr DM and Running are part of the album and BOOM....the album gets even better as a whole

Okay, I may have been undervaluing Won't Tell. Sounds great.

I do think the Dark Matter -> Won't Tell transition is jarring in not a good way. But easy to quickly move past.

I wouldn't say I know any of you particularly well, but at the same time, some of you kinda feel like old friends at this point. I just wanted to say how much I enjoy reading everyone's dissections of this band and their love for it (and frustrations by it).

This album roll-out has been something incredibly special. Glad to be sharing this moment with all of you.

What a fucking band. Even those of us who never checked out on PJ needed to fall in love with them again.

:peace: :heartbeat:

:nice:

Yes, 100% can appreciate it even more within context. That soaring chorus and solo is pure magic

Great harmonies. Wasn't picking up on those from Ed before.

The cross fade during Mike solo on React Respond is cool

Running is cool (not great, but still good enough), like Lukin on No Code.

Yes, much bouncier, growlier, punchier and animated. New tones as well which I assume is partially a result of not having his Modulus etc in LA. a lot of Stingray and Rickenbacker I’m guessing.

I remember clearly buying Yield when I was in law school and driving around aimlessly that night for a first listen...that's the last time I've felt this level of emotional response to one of their albums. Of course, I'm 100% drunker now, but still....

While Won't Tell is a side of Pearl Jam we've never heard, with the U2 into Cure outro, Upper Hand is a side of the band that we haven't heard for maybe decades, but it's such an old friend.

I THINK I would put Won't Tell above Upper Hand

Wreckage is one of the best songs they have ever written. The words, melody, performance. It’s all there
