That's more than enough to proclaim chopper as the greatest character in the Star Wars universe.
Let me be honest; - after four episodes Chopper is more annoying than funny. He's cruel and mischievous but not in the funny way. He's more mean than anything else and it's doing nothing for me.
Who the fuck do you think you are? Saying shit like this?

nah, give the dude time to get used to him. Hell, I'm just now understanding and liking Ezra.

I actually think it's real possible.
But I think it'll more likely be Rex.
Can't be Rex. He shows up in ROTJ.
Right. I forgot.

Is that real? Was Filoni being serious?

Think about everything he's been through that we've seen. And if he was in RotJ, that means he probably went through some shit during ANH and ESB, too.

Aw huh
He becomes damn near the most relevant character in all of Star Wars. It's kind of crazy. My hope is that Filoni is just wishful thinking and has reconsidered his comments. Because, honestly, it's a full no retcon. My hope is he's come to his senses and Rex IS NOT in RotJ. But we'll see where they take things. If he is, then that's pretty impressive. If he's not, then he's about to fucking die on Rebels.

Now that wease has reminded us of the real possibility that Rex lives... yeah. Zeb becomes the clear choice to kill off in the finale.

Zeb and maybe the dude that is spying for the rebellion, right?

Here's what's wrong with Rex being there. Stop me if you see it already.
Rex knew Obi Wan and Anakin Skywalker.
So he's never gonna mention to Luke Skywalker, who's on the same mission with him, 'hey, eh Commander Skywalker, eh, I knew your pops way back when... yknow before the other thing'
Dumb retcon Filoni

That's kinda what I was thinking, yeah. I figured the new fulcrum guy was a goner for sure.

Several options here, though.
Rex thinks Obi-Wan is dead. We know this from Twin Sons. So even though he knew Kenobi, there's no real reason for him to talk to Luke about him. Not that we've seen.
Also, Rex doesn't know that Vader is Anakin. Right? I haven't read a lot of the canon books/comics and stuff, so maybe this is covered. But based on the shows and what we've seen, Rex doesn't know. So... it still technically works. But, yeah, still think it's a dumb retcon.
