Gigaton bought the heaviness and weirdness back to Pearl Jam. I'd hate for them to lose that again and to back to making something like Lightning Bolt.

I've just given BTC a third or fourth listen, and I liked it more

I had never heard of Andrew Watt until like three months ago, so guess I’ll give him a chance. I couldn’t do another six year break, though. Rather just see what they can do now. Obviously they’re all still writing given they’re all putting different things out since Gigaton.

Didn’t realize that Watt was also involved with “E-Ticket” (makes sense), and also “Tender Mercies”

Honest question: is The Haves a legitimately terrible song OR is it knowing the composer is a Have that makes it hard to swallow?

If I listen to it like Daughter and consider the pov is not rich rockstar Eddie Vedder, I don’t hate it. This is setting up to be a forgettable album and yet one I will enjoy on the patio on a summer’s eve.

An anthem for the vertically challenged perhaps but it is a legitimately terrible song in my opinion.

Its the worst piece of shit Ed did counting what he does in the bathroom.

And if someone else would write it i would be so turned off and angry i would totally block him of my brain.

The lyrics are so offensive to me that I have a hard time getting past them. Rich people singing about being poor in such an on-the-nose way is, well, a real daft twat thing to do.

As far as the music and production, I find very little in them at least on first listens. Definitely makes me worry that this Watt fellow could be BoB2.
