what kind of computer will you get to use? what are the requirements for the job?

will you have to type in a number sequence, followed by hitting an execute button?

guys, you must know by now that I'm not capable of anything productive or contributory to society. I don't know how to do anything real. Other people will produce the widgets and I will be playing with the data and the documents that they generate as a by-product

Once I get settled, I will spearhead the union drive (don't tell them I said this, we must preserve the element of surprise)

I have resigned to the fact I will never be much of a contributor to society professionally. Though I did spend a couple years in the military, which is a small point of pride in a way. But I'm happy with my salary and I'm proud of the boys I'm raising. And I get to enjoy them and my wife for a while until I die. Maybe one day I can afford to put together a proper studio and record my album, and some people will get something from that. One dreams sometimes.

Yeah you basically got it, dude. But can’t uproot, cuz you’re putting your family first. No shame in that.

I think you're doing great, tree. They're going to put 'beloved husband and father' on your tombstone, not 'had a cool job for the last fifteen years of his career'
