That's great, but I'm skeptical about how good it will be after the weak For Your Consideration.

Yeah, it's not like it's bad or anything - just mediocre, and it showed that Guest is fallible.

It's really good. It has a lot more heart and honesty than his others. It's not as funny as the previous films but it's actually about something. Guest gets a little more serious. The scene work is still wonderful. But don't expect to laugh like an asshole for an hour and a half.BurtReynolds wrote:i don't think i ever saw that one.LoathedVermin72 wrote:That's great, but I'm skeptical about how good it will be after the weak For Your Consideration.

Hopefully. They've been trying for a long time. And it's been in several stages of development many times before. Sounds like it might really stick this time, though. They have a director and a distributor. And casting looks like it's taking shape. So... fingers crossed.

Just found out that my theater is gonna be playing the roadshow version of The Hateful Eight in 70mm, so that's cool.

It's longer, edited a little differently, and has an intermission. Also, it comes out a week earlier than the regular theatrical version.durdencommatyler wrote:What's the roadshow version?

And projected in 70mm, if I'm reading it right. Thanks for turning me on to this, I might do this.LoathedVermin72 wrote:It's longer, edited a little differently, and has an intermission. Correct. All the theaters showing it on Christmas are projecting it in full 70mm film. The Argonaut wrote:And projected in 70mm, if I'm reading it right.
