Finally got around to listening to Chris. Meh. Nothing offensive and with multiple listens I'm sure there's a few things in there but nothing jumped out at first. I don't know if I can be bothered listening again to be honest.

Watched some videos from his Carneige Hall show last night. He crushed.

My favorites from Romeo and Juliet are:

Run
Rollercoaster
In the blue of the night
In the meadow
At home with the animals
Losers (love that outro)

There isn't much filler though and it sounds pretty cohesive even though these songs are mixed from different eras. In the Meadow was supposedly the last song the Cardinals recorded together. Other ones like earthquake, hold me together and my heaven are all very enjoyable. I wish the production sounded better. It sounds better than Chris, but he's still using a drum machine for the percussion most of the time to my ears. His sponsor friend is a session drummer, you'd think he could have gotten him to play some real drums for him.

This is that album and it has been my honor to have been given the chance to find myself and be myself fully - embracing my music and my life as it comes - in its own way - free of the patterns of the past.
