Re: Dream Band Super-Group Tournament - Round 2 voting is op
I've got no problem with people voting for themselves. Voting for your opponent means you think their team is better than yours, but even if that's true you need to stick by your team no matter what. The Argonaut wrote:I always vote for myself, yo.
Plus, I'm getting whooped here, I need my vote.

I thought this was the generally-decided protocol among bands, but whatevs... I'm getting too competitive over this thing, anyway.Lament wrote:I'll do the same then. It's only fair. We'd just cancel each other out anyways.Self wrote:I'll abstain from voting for my own team. There's nothing sadder than that awkward photo of a candidate casting a ballot for him/herself.

I'll add your vote, THIP.
I actually don't know what the protocol usually is on here. I think all of us first rounders just followed Self's lead.

I don't see any reason not to vote for yourself. Unless you genuinely believe your opponent has the better team. But I don't really see the point of not voting for yourself just cuz. I feel like anytime I see someone do that, it's still an implied vote for themselves.

I didn't vote for myself because no one in the first round did. Obviously, no one is going to vote for their opponent, but the votes wash out so what's the point?
At any rate, consider this my formal vote for...

Re: Dream Band Super-Group Tournament - Round 2 voting is op
I guess that makes sense, about the wash. But, you know, Jorge has voted against himself in many an RM tourney. Which might just be pretentious bullshittery. But I like to think is genuine and kinda cool. There are definitely teams that are stronger than mine. But... I still want to win. And I still love what I came up with.Kaius wrote:I didn't vote for myself because no one in the first round did. Weird and oddly inconsistent. But one of my favorite internet personalities, for sure. For a long time I believed him to be more than a quarter of all of RM. I don't anymore. But I suspect he is 33% cartoon.
