Awesome. Sounds like a tight game that Chile choked Argentina and stifled any play.
How is the atmosphere in Argentina, Jorge?

There is a lot to think about here in Argentina...No one is blaming anyone here, but there is a sense of karma going around. Its been a long time since they won something, but at the same time the people working there is the correct one.
Im sure they will eventually win something. Maybe next year with the American Cup again.

man, it's hard to get excited about the Gold Cup. The competition is so bad. basically watching an exhibition between a major league team and some random double a squad.

In one week Villa have lost their club captain (thanks Delph, very honourable) and top scorer with Benteke to Liverpool. Sigh.

pretty bad night all around. Think the experiment with Brooks at Center back should be over. Guy has the technical skills and looks the part but a center back needs to be a bit violent, visceral. The guy just doesn't have it in him.
And the midfield was toast all night for the US. Bad first touches all around. No possession. I lost count of how many times a US player charged into the heart of the Jamaican defense with their head down and dribbled into a group of two to three defenders.

Sucks for sure but Villa made a ton of money on those transfers. Just invest in some young talent and the club will be fine. Selling Benteke for that amount of cash is a hell of deal. Dude is overrated and coming back from a major, career shortening injury. You sell for that amount every time.

Absolutely not. Maybe in FIFA 15. 67% passing accuracy, very low number of key passes, tries to dribble past defenders but only has about a 36% success rate, low assist numbers, shot accuracy below 50%, doesn't contribute much on defense.
The dude is basically a very poor man's version of Olivier Giroud. But he looks great getting off the team bus.

We'll see how he does surrounded by better talent.

Oh for sure. The pressure will be huge as well. Especially with that massive price tag.

£15mil sounds too much but we need a striker so that's what it may take. Adebayor would be a worse deal, he just never plays every match.
The problem now is every team knows we have £40mil to splash.
