Ridley doesn't think Rey's parentage is a big deal? It better be a fucking big deal. Fuck you, Star Wars!

I hope those comments aren't smoke screen. I really hope she's not related to anyone we already know or any established characters. Her parentage should be a "big deal" only in the sense that it's part of her quest to understand who she is and where she came from, not because she's part of an established bloodline.

I'm fine with that, but if they build this mystery up and then don't explain it like a god damned episode of Lost, I'm going to be pissed.

Yeah, I get that. Though, LOST pretty much explained everything. But, still, your point stands. Creating the mystery in and of itself means they need to "make it a big deal." I getcha.

Her comments on that knocked the wind out of a lot of sails. The film did set all that up and is responsible for the who is she hysteria. To hear her palm it off like its no big deal is worrying.
