I often wonder the same thing about Germans. They lost a quarter of a million people in the opening 10 weeks of WW1...and then the fighting really picked up and lasted for years.

And then they did the whole thing again 20 years later.

Those numbers are staggering. That picture of the soldier aimed at the woman holding a child is just... Yep...

That's just staggering. A graph somehow puts it in perspective.

Listening to rich people who live in big cities talk about raising the minimum wage and what amount of money a person can and cannot live on is hilarious. They clearly have no frame of reference for this stuff.
