Chewie and Rey in the Falcon :heartbeat: :heartbeat: :heartbeat:

Though, I swear to god, if Lando doesn't have a scene with the Falcon I'm gonna LOSE IT.

Don’t forget Kerri Russell has been cast. She could be reys mom and turns up. Maybe even Luke as the father and he just never knew.

HOW does he know that? Did he comb the desert for them?

Bonus points if you knew there was a Spaceballs Easter egg in TFA of two troopers combing the desert

There's all the room in the world to retcon Rey. Given the "Force-back" in TFA and what she discovers about herself, it's super possible to find a way around all of that. The image in the Forceback is the most interesting to me, especially if it's a memory of the lightsaber (as has been posed).

Anyone could show up being Rey's parent and say they gave her away to foster parents, and those foster parents are the ones who are dead in a pauper's grave. It's still wide open.

But I really think the more interesting angle is to leave her unconnected. I'm still pulling for that to be the "answer" and for Kylo to be the "last" Skywalker.

That would lead into my earlier idea. Make Skywalker a title or an adopted name and you can get around all of this.

You can 100% give her parent(s) and them not be Skywalkers/some other known to us. They might even.

I think you’ll see her in a ‘family is the people you surround yourself with’ situation

I hope that’s what happens. But Russell’s casting makes me feel like we’re either getting a family or at least a flashback to what happened. Rey doing some force stuff on herself to make herself remember.

That could work.

Keri Russell deserves better than being Rey's mom.

Big emotional scene where she has to leave Rey with unkar to protect her?
Who knows. I’m more intrigued about her casting than any other

No thank you.

I'd much rather see her in a power position, either in the First Order or as an adversary to Kylo Ren.

Kerri Russel will be a woman of power in the Resistence. With Lei and Holdo both gone, i bet whoever Kerri is cast as will play an important role in leading the resistance

I'm into that as well. I'd love to see her as a villain. But Resistance hero works.

Honestly, I fully trust JJ. He'll make it work no matter what it is. If she ends up being Rey's mom, I'll probably love it. I just have my own private wishlists, y'know? But I don't want to write the movie in my head too much. I just want to watch it and see what it is.

As long as JJ sticks to strict cannon and doesn't expand the universe or challenge anything then im good. You know?
