being down on the farm really elevated his game from "not being ready for mlb 3 1/2 weeks ago" to "mlb-caliber player."
I thought he was "injured" and the team was making sure he "felt good."
They were always going to manipulate his service time, but the injury was convenient from a "not worrying about a grievance" standpoint.

The suggestions that it isn't a real injury are dumb, though.

"Hey Vlad! We need you to pretend to be hurt for a bit so it'll make it easier for us to give you less money over the next few years. Sound good?"

The Twins started doing that on some home games this year too. It throws me off.
Does it have to do with curfews on the mean streets of Cincy and St. Paul?

Yeah I wasn't trying to imply it was fake, just a happy accident.

The Brewers have been doing it too. and 12:15 on weekday home games.
I know they have done earlier start times in April in the past to make it easier on families coming out to the game to get the kids home earlier so they don't miss school.

The Twins just hit back-back-back homers in the first. Eddie Rosario now leads the AL in home runs. :bammer:

What a hack
His second at bat he hit one to the wall, A's out fielder made a pretty awesome catch on it. Vlad SR totally thought JR had a home run when they should his reaction in the stands.

I'm gonna assume they lost because they're not a good baseball team.

Jake Odorizzi out duels Justin Verlander in a 1-0 Twins win. Didn’t see that coming! :hooray: Twins are 17-9 now. Three more to go in the series with the Astros, and then three against the Yankees. Pretty big early season measuring stick.
