They made the album we all hoped they still had in them. I feel like a fucking kid again listening to this.

It's the most authentic thing on the record. I couldn't ever skip this gem.

What's the story about not showing lyrics at the beginning of GTG? It wasn't showing up in the theater and it's not on Apple music.

Finally! Ed's not happy anymore... that's why thus album is so good

They're missing from the liner notes too. The usual lack of attention to detail from all associated with the band that drives my OCD nuts

Upper Hand ‘ s start is great. I love that bluesy solo Mike does after the first verse. And Stone is doing some really cool stuff too

guitar_davey wrote:Say what you like about Watt's production, but goddammit he made the guitars sound fun and interesting on this thing.
I think the production is mostly great tbh...the guitars sound great, Ed sounds great, the bass sounds great, and I have no idea how to analyze drums. The mixing/engineering is too bright for sure but the official release is still a good listen.

The comparison has already been made in countless reviews, but this is the Quadrophenia track I bet Eddie always wanted them to make. They've made some grasps for it in the past with other tunes, but they full on fucking nailed it here. Pete will be proud of Ed.

To get this out of the band at this point. He deserves a lot of praise

Wreckage fascinating. Harmonies for most of the song are overhead, but, when Ed does the swelling ones around 4:10, the harmonies are pushed way outside of the lateral boundaries of your ears...Sounds absolutely enormous
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…
