Lots of talented guys that never make it.
I remember reading that BOB struggled to convince Ed to record Betterman. BOB wanted it on Vs. But after he told Ed it would be a huge hit, Ed refused to include it.

It's literally a slightly different version of the clip we all heard
during the PokemonGo! search last week, followed by a single loose, directionless bass guitar note and a two-count on a hi-hat. Just suggests that the opening track is that ambient noise we've heard, followed by a loose and lively rocker.
I have no idea what this means
