Sometimes on days when I have sex, I think about how fucking lonely and depressed I was at 16-17, and how I wish I knew that some day I’d be 47 and having days where I had sex, pizza, and saw one of my favorite bands in concert all in the same day and my head didn’t explode because it wasn’t anywhere near the first time that happened. I have bad days, weeks, and even months, but man, life is fucking subtly amazing pretty goddam frequently.
It's maybe not an enlightened view but sex, food and music are really the best things in the world.
We are basic creatures
I’m not intending to refute this at all, and absolutely relate. I was personally stuck at the bold part for a long time in what I experienced as a very self-centered existence; now i view that aforementioned holy triumvirate as rationed fuel for a life of service to my family and community.
In other words, I eat good food, have great sex, and enjoy the hell out of my audio system, but it’s all in measured doses that don’t leave me feeling gluttonous at the expense of others.
Just thinking/sharing, not really trying to judge others if that’s not where you’re at.
I'm also being a bit facetious by boiling our sense of contentedness down to our basest desires but yeah

So many folks seem unable to exist without alcohol and talking about the distant past. They are all currently at my Labor Day party. Let’s drink and talk about the present fuckers

good luck Daft. hope you get to give a kid detention in the first week so you can really set the tone for the school year
went golfing yesterday. was having my usually outting when on one par 5 i duffed my wedge and landed about 20 feet off the green and about 5 inches into the rough around the apron
was irritated about the duff so i grabbed my putter. sank the putt like a boss for a total of about 50 feet to salvage a bogey

Snatching bogey from the jaws of triple bogey. That's a major win in my book.
Hell, just getting out on the course is a win to be honest.
I need to make time to play more golf. I used to.

I have a brand new Paradym driver I’ve used once. I needed a break to lose a few losers that I was playing with. Who you golf with makes a difference.
