Just projecting. I classic B'd in the St. Vincent thread and I'm feeling a little tender about it.

Ha. I just broke the 4th wall or whatever you call it because the song, the album, and the band are amazing, yet this could be considered by a more crappy band to be a unforgivable sin of the highest order.

i grew out of slipknot 20 years ago but i like their self released album in 96... it has the song slipknot

Joey Jordison was no doubt a talented drummer, but it always sounded like he was playing a toy kit. My god.

There's a song on the new Kanye / Ty Dolla Sign album where Kanye repeats "beautiful big-titted women don't just fall out of the sky, you know" for like a minute straight, a quote from the movie Dogma. The actual line of dialogue from the film is sampled in a few times. It's really funny and my favorite song on the album

Incubus is re recording Morning View...and they already played it live and released it as a live album,....enough is enough guys. Im disappointed because 8 was a very good album and they seem to be kinda lost when it comes to release new music.

Also they have a new bassist, and she is very good.

Sounds like Dirk Lance erasure to me. What's the point in re-recording it? Lame.

they said its because they wanna release it they way they are playing it live but doesnt really add up. I guess they want to regain some of the energy they had back then? i dont know.

remaking one of their good sounding albums is the worst idea ever, because their albums don't sound good anymore.

A shame they couldn't keep up that quality.

its not just that Brandon's voice isn't the same, it's the processing and EQ that makes it sound so nasally.
Everything is EQed thin for clarity, the guitar tone is worse, the drums aren't played as well and are overly bright.

Not great, but interesting in a way. I wonder what it would be like if Pearl Jam re-recorded Ten in the studio.

I like the new arrangements, to be fair, but it is weird

Other Lives is one of the most underrated bands of the century
their 4 albums are great (8+) and the music is so rich and beautiful
its a shame that more people dont know them
