Hey, at least that team was in the race.

It looks bad, but the sports talk media machine is blowing it way out of proportion today.

And TBH, I'd rather have that than the guys that work the team beat kissing ass and only criticizing players that have been sanctioned for criticism by the ownership group.

For sure, I just don't think this is the big problem with the red sox. Pablo Sandoval shouldn't be on social media between innings, but at the same time this is way down the list at the things the red sox have done wrong this week.

Yeah, the media just loves to take these things and turn them into ways of explaining why things are going wrong.

Yeah, I know, but it's pitchforks time when it comes to this team.

and this one is perfect for it, as the older fans will hate it for being anything to do with social media, and the easily outraged will see this as HE DOESNT CARE ENOUGH NO HEART NO HUSTLE etc. And of course those are the ones who call in on the radio.

I see this as an entire non issue, and frankly, MLB should be encouraging social media use during games from the dugout.

Keep in mind, this is a team that has a legitimate problem with players knowing how many outs there are. I'm not saying this is a huge deal, but it's a small part of a systemic problem.

I was thinking this same thing...if athletes could leverage social media during games. Man, that would be entertainment. Photos, commentary....stuff you can't see from the seats or on TV.

I could see it working in baseball, but man, NFL and NBA coaches would be having coronaries over it.

So when does Nap get designated for assignment?

Continuing conversation from the MLB thread: shit, I forgot that the Yankees were coming to town this weekend. This is the first time these teams have been must-see-TV in a while.

Maybe it's time to euthanize Nap

He's barely sniffed the Mendoza line all season. The current lineup is hitting; there's, like, no incentive to playing him.

It seems like his .190 avg is way too high.

Remember that stretch of 3 games in mid-May where he exploded with power? Take those three games away, he's hitting .179. Seems much more realistic.
