Quentyn. Unless somehow he's coming back.
Exactly.
You really think that?

Wait, I just googled it. He is nearly burned to death in his own POV but actually succumbs to his wounds 3 days later in the Barristan chapter.

But there are Quentyn is alive theories out there, I don't know if I buy them though.

I accidentally told a friend the no one dies in their own POV chapters when discussing Jon Snow (he had seen him die in the show but was only on book one or two at the time). He then came to me after the red wedding and was all "HAH YOU'RE WRONG CAT DIED IN HER OWN CHAPTER!"

Yeah I almost came in here and called out durd when I read that chapter. Glad I held my tongue until the end of the book!

Guys I think about this stuff way too much. I don't think I've ever anticipated a piece of art the way I'm anticipating Winds of Winter. Maybe Binaural.

When he said it to me I just had to be like "yeah you're right..."

That's awesome.

You're basically where I was between every season of LOST.

It's an epilogue but Kevan Lannister dies in his own POV. Unless he's coming back too.

But, as you said, it's an epilogue. It doesn't have a POV.

Quentyn dying in Selmy's chapter seems like a loophole to the no POV character dying in their chapter theory considering he was roasted by dragon.

But it holds nonetheless.

But it also seems to reinforce, to the extreme, that GRRM doesn't kill off characters in their on POV. He's going out of his way to be consistent in that regard, which would strongly reinforce Jon Snow isn't fucking dead.

You're right. Theory isn't even the right word. It's a fact that he has not killed off a POV character on their own chapter.
