do you think dabo is going to make a run at the alabama job when saban retires?
unless it is next year, no. I see Clemson having a couple more good years then him jumping to the pros.
for some reason i don't see him in the pros

Yep, I'd be surprised if he goes to the NFL. The man LOVES Clemson. My money is that he will be there for years, like Bowden, Paterno, Beamer, etc...

Completely agree. Get back to me when the players are actually playing real games.
Massively important to the future of your favorite team. Huge deal.
I get that, but I have no personal connection to these kids at the moment. I would rather start paying attention once they start playing. I'm not going to get too bent of shape about who commits, decommits, etc.
I agree that it's massively important. There is a direct correlation to good recruiting and winning. What I don't like is the rankings. I mean, go to one place and they say he's the #1 RB, but another site has him as the #5 RB. How do they know? The real sign about good classes, like the NFL Draft, is about filling needs.

Clemson finished 8th in recruiting (per ESPN), but that is kind of a BS ranking. If they would have signed two more 4 star guys, they would have finished higher. However, it's not about that. It's about filling the team needs, and Clemson did just that. They didn't have 28 guys sign, like some teams, and that is one reason there are 7 teams ahead of them.

What they did do is find 3 last minute guys to fill in for most of the starting secondary who decided to declare for the NFL. All three are 4 star DBs and all guys who will most likely avoid a redshirt. The fact that Clemson wasn't heavily recruiting them until the end, and all 3 signed shows where this program is going. The team also got some big "gets" in the trenches with some very talented LBs, DE's, DTs, and OL.

So while they aren't in the top 5 in recruiting, b/c of the star ranking system, they got exactly what they needed.

Guys.... what the hell is going on in Knoxville?

Semi hilariously, Cam Newton's being a spoil sport has exposed the seedy underbelly at yet another SEC school.

Seriously though, Hide yo kids, Hide yo wife.

The Peyton stuff essentially came out (again) because many perceived media criticism of Cam being himself after the super bowl as racist. What ended up happening once reporters started poking around is pretty incredible. There's a law suit stating Butch Jones called a former player a "traitor" for helping a rape victim, two teammates allegedly raped the girl he helped (awaiting trials)
Other teammates tried to beat the player up and or put a hit on him, another player was arrested for domestic violence and I feel like they've had a police blotter story every day this month.

It's gone from an old story about Peyton being a douche and teabagging a trainer to exposing Tennessee Rape Culture.

This being the year pretty much everyone expects Tennessee to be "back".

If Butch actually did all that he's accused of.... the entire school is in big big trouble.

It's really bad. Tons of smoke. I don't see this ending well.

Absurd.

It's really a ridiculous law. Kirby says that he simply met with legislators, and that's likely the case, but whether he asked for it or not is kind of irrelevant. The Athletic Department is happy, they get 3 months to ACKNOWLEDGE a FOIA request. I would imagine this will be rectified at some point.

I guess, get your requests in now, so we can hear about it by football season.

This is getting close people. That being said, I have little to no interest in media days coverage.

Right now we have an interim University System President, interim Chancellor, interim AD, and are missing two people on the Board of Curators and four deans have moved on from the university. I might be Chancellor by the time this all blows over.
