I gave it a try with a sample file. Let's see if it worked:

Now can you tell me how to get that audio player in your signature so I can do the same thing?

Is there? I'll check again when I get home. I tried to load a track and it told me the format wasn't supported. I'll figure it out. Thanks!stip wrote:there is an option to convert itunes songs to mp3. Does that help?durdencommatyler wrote:Audacity won't let me take files from iTunes. So I'm not able to make a playlist. I'll post the order and let folks make it themselves if they want. Or better yet, folks can put my team in the order they like best. I don't really care.cutuphalfdead wrote:In audacity there are different tool buttons on the top that change what your mouse cursor does. One of them allows you to drag and drop different audio files within the session you have open. Open all the mp3s you're going to use and then drag and drop them into order. They can all be in one track or in separate tracks as long as they don't overlap each other. Once you have it all lined up you export it as one long mp3 file.
And yeah, an mp3 made from other mp3s will be doubly degraded but for this purpose that won't be a big deal.

You just have to right click on the song and select convert to mp3. This feature wont be there if your cd import settings are not set to mp3 though. That's somewhere in preferences.durdencommatyler wrote:Is there? I'll check again when I get home. I tried to load a track and it told me the format wasn't supported. I'll figure it out. Also, did I miss a post that specifies a deadline for these playlists? Do we have a deadline?

Go to your profile and edit the signature. There is a little tag above the text box that says "MP3", and then put the url link between the tag.bluestate wrote:Now can you tell me how to get that audio player in your signature so I can do the same thing?

Just an idea, but for the sake of sharing our MP3s we could use our Gmail account we made to share demos/rare stuff (or create a new one just for this event). If you PM me I can give the username/pass, you can go to Google Drive and upload your MP3. Just 1 location where we can all put out our playlists.
Thoughts?

Re: 2013 tournament II: Begin Working On Playlists
You can use drop box to share the mp3, but you'll need to download it and play it on your computer if people do that. A dropbox link will not work with the embedded mp3 tag. For that to work you need a link that points directly to the mp3 file, dropbox (and others) actually take you to another site that gives it to you.

I still would rather just do a separate tournament for mixes like the ones that have been done before. Those are way better.
