I am planning on using dropbox. Place the file in your public folder. Right-click and select "Copy public link", then paste it here.

I gave it a try with a sample file. Let's see if it worked:

Yep, works for me. Ccanad, see if you can access my file. It it works, then repeat these steps for your mp3 file and post it here and I'll check to see if it worked.
Ok, I tried this. Does it work for anyone now?
Yes I can hear it.

Now can you tell me how to get that audio player in your signature so I can do the same thing?

They can all be in one track or in separate tracks as long as they don't overlap each other. Once you have it all lined up you export it as one long mp3 file.

And yeah, an mp3 made from other mp3s will be doubly degraded but for this purpose that won't be a big deal.
Audacity won't let me take files from iTunes. So I'm not able to make a playlist. I'll post the order and let folks make it themselves if they want. Or better yet, folks can put my team in the order they like best. I don't really care.
there is an option to convert itunes songs to mp3. Does that help?
Is there? I'll check again when I get home. I tried to load a track and it told me the format wasn't supported. I'll figure it out. Thanks!

You just have to right click on the song and select convert to mp3. This feature wont be there if your cd import settings are not set to mp3 though. That's somewhere in preferences.

Thanks! I'll play around with it later and see if I can get it working. I appreciate the help, guys.

Also, did I miss a post that specifies a deadline for these playlists? Do we have a deadline?

Go to your profile and edit the signature. There is a little tag above the text box that says "MP3", and then put the url link between the tag.

Just an idea, but for the sake of sharing our MP3s we could use our Gmail account we made to share demos/rare stuff (or create a new one just for this event). If you PM me I can give the username/pass, you can go to Google Drive and upload your MP3. Just 1 location where we can all put out our playlists.
Thoughts?

Duh! I'm an idiot. Thanks. Although mine doesn't appear to be working now. EDIT: Got it! Thanks!

Acoustic 1 (I have been loving that lately--eddie sounds so good on it, and it would have closed out my playlist)
Two great tracks for a certain type of playlist. :D

Don't worry about my audio, I don't think I'm going to be advancing anywhere with "Sweet Lew" at the helm

You can use drop box to share the mp3, but you'll need to download it and play it on your computer if people do that. A dropbox link will not work with the embedded mp3 tag. For that to work you need a link that points directly to the mp3 file, dropbox (and others) actually take you to another site that gives it to you.

I still would rather just do a separate tournament for mixes like the ones that have been done before. Those are way better.
