He's already signed for next season.
well I don't feel bad for not knowing that seeing as it apparently didn't come out until August that there was a vesting 2nd year option

Yeah, I expect uehara to be awful next year but it's worth it to get what they've gotten out of him this year.

I saw at at the bar without sound and was wondering the same. I do know that that guy(forget his name) is one of the worst umpires in mlb, if not the worst.

Kelly's always the last one standing after the national anthem; he jokes around a ton. It's usually not a big deal cuz everyone else leaves so quickly but Van Slyke caught on to what he was doing and there was a bro-down of sorts.

of course the Cards let Kelly do it because hes doing it out of a sign of respect for the anthem? soldiers? game?
but if someone else stayed out there after the other team? im sure the Cards would tell us that theyre showing them up and thats not acceptable behavior

Oh please...the media took Wainwright's comments and twisted them to fit their agenda for a talking point for the series. It was lazy journalism and now the whole country thinks the Cardinals are nothing but stodgy curmudgeons. They fuck around all the time and enjoy themselves and are generally respectful of BOTH the game and their opponents. Gonzalez is an arrogant piece of shit, Puig is an immature kid, and I hate Greinke's face (just throwing that last one in there).

Other than that, the Dodgers have a pretty classy organization with players who don't bullshit like the aforementioned two. Even Gonzalez isn't that bad on the field, it's his comments that I have a distaste for at times.

The Cards have a history of that kind of stuff that goes back to when La Russa was manager, it's not new. Agreed on Gonzalez though.

I never defended TLR. He's a fucking ass. But he's 1 man. But if I disagree with something Obama says I don't blame the entire government for his comments. It's a pretty classy organization otherwise.

The Cards def have a history of this, the USA Today even had quotes/comments from one of Stan the Mans relatives, grandson I believe? on it, and any cards fan will tell ya Bob Gibson would have drilled Puig at least once during that series for his behavior.
This wasnt the first, nor will it be the last that they get all puffy about something. (and Yadier is one of the worst at arguing / showing up umpires in the league thats what makes it all so annoying when they get on their high horse)

GREAT Series though... seriously both should have gone 7, no one remembers a great back and forth even 6 game series...
that ball 4 call on the last hitter Scherzer faced really changed that game... great pitch Max! so good ya fooled the umpire even.

Yep...it's only the Cardinals. There's not other teams that do this...or worse, a whole bunch of entitled punk-bitch teams that have earned nothing.

oh definitely not, scroll back 20 pages lol the Braves were doing it this year too... twice starting bench clearing shoving matches because of a player watching a home run too long... yet in the game with Miami just a few innings before that, their own player Gattis watched his home run lol

Sox in 7, I WANT 7!

I was going to reference the Braves. I was just saying I could find fault in your favorite team.
