Austin over Ade all day. Ade would be cheaper though...

Never would I wish that on anyone. It's a shame that Man Citymau have to buy another Englishman to meet the quota.

Dempsey at 32 is still the only reliable goal scorer for USMNT. Not good. Klinnsman is fired if he loses the Confed Cup playoff in October.

Well, he's not a bad signing. Young, room to improve. Looks like you all picked up his brother as well which will both transition to a new environment. Hard to say how young players will do when they transfer to a different league and the French League has recently become a lot more competitive. It can be difficult for some, and easier for others to make the transition. Will there be a language barrier at his new club? What kind of culture is present? What kind of leadership is in place? Does the club have a infrastructure in place that will make it easier for foreign players to acclimate to a new city and country? Not everyone has the mental fortitude to take off like Alexis Sanchez.

For instance, I've read a few articles that heavily criticized the Spurs for lacking the leadership and infrastructure to help foreign players adjust to the England culture.

Lots of new signings this week and time will tell on all of them. The transition to the EPL can take half a season when moving from abroad or up from the championship. So for all the building and positive vibes around Villa Park, it's be nice to sign a couple of experienced EPL guys. I'm not a fan of Ade but he can score a handful of goals every season and he is a presence. I wouldn't be unhappy if he came aboard.

Cech is going to be such a huge upgrade for Arsenal.

Absolutely. If they pick up where they left off last season then holy hell they have a shot.

Apparently Man Utd haven't given up on Bale.

It could be a special season for Arsenal if the players can stay healthy. Oxlade Chamberlain is the key. Guy can be one hell of a player. Just needs to stay fit. Fast. Powerful. Can dribble by anyone. Can shoot with both feet. Extremely high work rate. Unique skill set.

Aston Villa picked up a really solid and young french midfielder (Jordan Veretout). I think Villa did decent this transfer window.

Liverpool still have the same two issues they had last season. A below average midfield that will struggle to circulate the ball and connect the defense to the offense and Liverpool lack a ball playing center back who can play out of the defense which is compounded with the issues in their midfield.

Liverpool have Emre Can but he can't play in both positions.
