Re: 2014 NFL Season
Fox just broke the broadcast rules by not changing people off the MIN/MIA game when the IND/DAL game kicked off...but it's good that they did because then people would have just missed that crazy blocked punt for a safety.

fully expecting the Bills to lose to the Raiders, especially after all of the games in today's tilt went their way

In other news, Chris Simms is just as bad as his father at saying idiotic things with great confidence

Well, CBS's hyped game of the week is looking like a dud so far.

Re: 2014 NFL Season
I did not know that the Colts were so close behind the Broncos in the active non-shutout streak department. Now I kinda wish that they didn't score that garbage time TD just to be safe.
EDIT: Maybe the stat box said it because I wasn't paying complete attention, but that has to be only for the regular season, because the Colts suffered that infamous 41-0 playoff loss to the Jets in 2002.

I hope the Bills get pissed off enough from this game to take it out on the Pats next week.Mecca wrote:haha everythingMecca wrote:fully expecting the Bills to lose to the Raiders, especially after all of the games in today's tilt went their way

Looks like I was right on this, but I (and pretty much everyone) was way wrong on the SNF game: it's CIN/PIT.spike wrote:yeah, that'd work.Green Habit wrote:Oh I feel for you if it turns out that way. There's also a good chance DET/GB could get flexed to the late afternoon slot to keep them in competition with the NFC West winner for a first round bye--would that help you out?

There isn't much to be scared of in the NFC if you're a Seahawks fan. The Cards are crumbling. GB has looked like shit the last 2 weeks. The Lions are, well, the Lions. I'd say the Cowboys are your biggest concern.Bammer wrote:Let's be honest.

Ah, Bammer. It appears your barometer for a successful NFL season is Super Bowl win or bust, which it should be for the loaded and reinvigorated defending champs.Bammer wrote:Let's be honest.

If this is true, then it's a bushleague move by the Browns.

By being suspended for last game of season, Gordon will be active for only 5 games this season, falling one game short of what he needs for an accredited season. Thus, after next season, Gordon will be a restricted free agent, not the unrestricted free agent he was scheduled to be. In the NFL, a player needs to be active for six games to earn an accredited season. He needs to become an unrestricted free agent. Gordon was active for five games this season, due to his suspensions, and with this most recent one, will fall one game short of having this count as an accredited season toward free agency.
