I went for a 45 minute run today and was really looking forward to spending some time with some tunes. I had a serious choice to make between an album I'd never heard by The Fall and Blood Sugar Sex Magik, and I chose the peppers. The choice was difficult and it was 100% thanks to the OB forum.

I'm still on a huge By The Way kick.
No hyperbole, Can't Stop is possibly one of the greatest statements of all time. The genius annotations make for some really fun reading too. I love that the words are essentially Kiedis's life manifesto.

Minor Thing is probably my favorite on By The Way.

Their new album is just okay, which is about the same as I'd say for The Getaway.
Both are still better than I'm With You though.

It's a bop, but Don't Forget Me and Dosed both shit all over it.

Can't Stop is absurdly good, but I think Otherside is their greatest ever single. John's backing vocals are bonkers on both.

There's a feeling I get when John and Paul harmonize on Only Sleeping, and I've only ever heard it again in some of Frusciante and Kiedis's stuff. It's perfect.
