So that’s stage one.
No deal is officially off the table. This is the first step in forcing Johnson to ask Europe for an extension. I’m sure his team are exploring ways to squirm out of it.

And with a greater rebel vote contingent than last night. Excommunicating rebels did not have the desired effect.

Very poor start for Boris in parliament.

In my opinion one thing that could restart the troubles would be if Scotland passed legislation for another independence referendum and the UK blocks it. People accept the Good Friday Agreement, that any unification referendum would have to be sensitive to the Unionists just as NI within the UK has to be sensitive to people who want a UI. They accept that this is the reason for NI not having the power to simply unify on majority rule. This could unravel if the UK sticks its oar into Scotland.
