Well something else that’s cool and true and I never noticed.

Han puts his hand on kylos face after he gets skewered by him.
Kylo gets sliced right down that exact spot by Rey in the lightsaber fight.

It’s the details

What i've enjoyed about this new trilogy is watching the characters really grow from nothing and wathing them struggle to find their place. More than most characters in the OT - aside from luke.

Pinn, Foe, Rey, Ren, Hux have all continually struggled to make any right decision or understand exactly when, how, and where of anything.

Its been fun.

For episode 9? I want them all to fully come into their own. I want badass chaos, folks.

We are already getting bad ass chaos. Imagine how much less impactful this Snoke scene would have been if it was in Episode IX. It would have been predictable.
We got chaos both in the story and for the two main characters.
And In fandom ever since.

The focus of IX has to be the new characters. We need to see them advance and finish their journey. The old characters will be there to help serve them, hopefully, and not distract too much. As much as I'm excited to see Leia and Luke and Lando again, really, all that matters is the conclusion of Rey, Kylo, Finn, and Poe's story.

It does nothing but get people talking and excited without any promises or tips of the hand. Ron did a great job during Solo. Hope JJ does his own sort of version of that for IX.

Just saw. That was jj’s first ever tweet.

So it is to be hoped he’ll follow Rons method and keep teasing.

Hear me out..Keri Russell’s character..

Is Reys older sister..

That would give her a family connection and explanation (flashback? And Rey then remembers what happened)

AND is that typical JJ thing of ‘theyll never see this comin!’

And she hid her to protect her from Snoke!!!

I’ve been saying that for a while but thinking her parents were first order officers wanting to protect her against Snoke

I would hate either of those things. I don't even want one of them, let alone both of them.

Bonus points if you knew there was a Spaceballs Easter egg in TFA of two troopers combing the desert

In fairness there’s a massive hardware wars nod in TLJ. The iron coming down on kylos clothes.

I only saw this today. I want it to be real. So much

I was on the money on a few things in TLJ. Most notably Yoda turning up and even bonking Luke on the head.
Who saw that coming?

Yeah, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Odds of her being an x-wing pilot who dies after three scenes are just as high as anything else.
