What do you think happens when the first ICE/CBP agent is killed over this? Do you think the reaction will be "oh, well, we shouldn't have put those kids into cages in the first place" or... based on the history of the last 20 years... maybe something else? Call your representatives now. I did yesterday. We as a society need to be active in stopping the separations and this spiral into chaos right now.

No, the past two years were littered with examples of why we needed to get the emotions out of immigration issues. Constant fear mongering has reached a level in which the discussion of people in cages has such little impact on a basic humanity/civility level that people think bringing up a celebrities tweet can deflect the issue.
