I think I remember a stat from a few years ago when I had him on my fantasy team, that he had the most all time losses where his team only scored 1 or fewer runs? and it was an insane amount of games where the Mariners scored 1 or fewer runs.

brewers were robbed a late run in a close game. if the runner can no longer bowl into the catcher at home, the catcher should not be allowed to block the path to the plate whatsoever. locain likely hurt after the play too.

Haha that was 100% the right call. No one was robbed of anything on that play.

yeah throws beat runners to the plate all the time. bring back the old rules. cain plows into wolters, he drops the ball, cain tags safely.

So they were robbed as long as you assume that the Brewers play under different rules. Got it.

Anyway I'm sure plowing into the catcher would have gone great for Lorenzo Cain, whose body is currently being held together by some fishing wire and a few pieces of scotch tape.

I don't think they got robbed at all. Bill Schroeder, an ex big league catcher had no problem with the play either.
Theres no guarantee he would have dropped the ball either with the old rule/plowing the catcher over. And as Mickey pointed out, LoCain is held together by duct tape, chicken wire, and guts at this point.
Ed Sedar is probably most to blame for that game. Yaz should not have been sent (he is slower than slow going first to home) and Cain being as banged up as he is probably shouldn't have been sent either...

That all being said, fuck that was one fun baseball game to watch. Cain making 2 great catches. 2 plays at the plate. Rockies hitting solo homers in the 8th, 9th, and 10th.

If Cain does not win the gold glove this year, just get rid of the award. Now I'm not going to go all over board like some Brewer fans and hail him the best CF in the game (Mike Trout does still play after all) But seriously, the guys been one of the top CF's for a long time now. Give the man his gold

Ender Inciarte was hurt for most of the year, so the award is up for grabs.

Excited for the WC play-in games. I've always found these fun to watch without a rooting interest. When the Red Sox eventually play in one of these, it's going to send me to an early grave.
