I went to an anti-cruelty society fundraiser tonight and won a football signed by Gale Sayers, Walter Payton, Dick Butkus, and Mike Ditka. Now what?

Next month, I’ll be the same age Dick Butkus was when My Two Dads went off the air.

Wonder what happened to the kid on that show. I remember her being pretty cute.

Worked a big project yesterday that involves weeks and weeks of preparation and now I want to collapse into bed and not do anything for 72 hours straight. I can't actually do that because I have some social obligations over the weekend but I want to

I'll go to those social obligations in your place.

And then I will do nothing for 72 hours in his place.

I feel like Jorge flies fast and loose with his definition of “obligations.”

Decades from now, Jorge’s tombstone will read “Here lies Jorge. Killed by FOMO.”

What a glorious day today. Had a sleep in at our gorgeous agriturismo in Tuscany. Wandered around Monticello for a bit then headed to Pienza, one of the most beautiful little villages I've ever seen. Had a glorious pasta lunch there and the wife did some shopping in the amazing little stores. Then off to some local baths and lazed about in their thermal pools. Got amongst the Italians starkers in the showers afterwards (thinking of you #up) and now back at the accommodation about to have our dinner of various seafoods and other bits and bobs purchased from the local supermarket.

I could really get used to this. Fantastico.

A few days ago I went to the Vivian Maier exhibit at Fotografiska. First time in the space, and I'm so bummed that they're closing it soon. Such an amazing space! Every exhibit was interesting, but the Maier stuff really knocked me out. I'm familiar with her story/work but this was the first time I'd seen her stuff in person and... jesus... Just knocked me out. What a talent. What a story!

Life has also had this fucking Simulation confluence lately. I just read Patti Smith's 'Just Kids.' While I was reading the book, I went to see PJ at The Garden. Glen Hansard opened and played a cover of 'Gloria' -- which I know isn't a Patti song proper, but her version of it from 'Horses' is my favorite and the one I know the best.

Then, in the book, I read about Patti doing a play where she delivered the lines "He could take you or leave you / so he took you and left you" which I know from a St. Vincent song. The day after I read that passage, I saw St. Vincent live.

THEN, at the Fotografiska museum, there was a different exhibit of another street photographer (Jean-Andre Antoine), and there was a portrait he'd taken.... OF PATTI SMITH! Furthermore, I went to a NY Liberty game on the Tuesday night before going to the museum, and Spike Lee was there. Sure enough, Antoine also had a portrait of Lee on display!

This world is fucking weird. We are 100% living in a simulation. Or at least I am. I don't know about the rest of you.
