Petition to bring back Lucas to direct episode 9. I'd almost go for that given the guy they have hired is such a liability

Wish Speilberg was doing it. Fuck, get Peter Jackson on the phone.

Stip I think you'll enjoy this read. I do not agree with him but it's well written.

I read this one. His writing on this has been really odd. On the one hand full of fulsome praise for the new characters while being critical of the movie in a way that seems overblown given how much stuff he liked.

He's right--it is odd that there wasn't move on his death, though I disagree with a lot of that piece.

Alright, so I know many here don't get off on speculation, and I apologize to those folks. But getting back to the Rey is a Kenobi idea...

Is it plausible that Obi Wan had an affair with Padme? There was always a little sexual tension there. Is it at all possible that Rey is descended from that affair? Or is that just way too cracked out?

Could Padme have hidden a secret child birth from Anakin?

Or is it possible that Padme actually lived and went into hiding with Obi Wan?

That would be pretty cool, but I bet they keep the kids if that happened.

The more I think about it, the more absurd it becomes. It doesn't really seem likely. But it could be cool if they wanted to head in that direction. And I kinda like the idea that Rey is related to Obi Wan AND Luke.
