Just a little picture of a cool turntable I felt like sharing with everyone

That's designed for playing Sirens on, surely.Lounge Lizard wrote:Just a little picture of a cool turntable I felt like sharing with everyone
Yeah, I can't think of a better example either. I really like the rest of the song, but the opening makes me cringe.guitar_davey wrote:Lounge Lizard wrote:FONguitar_davey wrote:I'm psyched for this album. My only slight concern is some of it being too "cock rock" for lack of a better term. I'm not sure how to take these GnR comparisons for Sirens. I grew up with GnR, so I don't hate them, but...worlds colliding a bit. I'm not sure how I feel about this.
Related to that, here's one for you all: most cock rock PJ song? Go...
I was thinking this too. Maybe not overall IMHO, and I like the song a lot, but that opening bit of wah guitar sounds pretty cock rock.

Sad to think that such a cockrock little moment is also their unassailable highwater mark for the last 11 years.theplatypus wrote:McParadigm wrote: No, I mean the one where the music kind of goes "dun dun dundun buh....dun dundun buh buh buh dun."

Who would you rather hear cover Amongst The Waves: Celine Dion or late era Phil Collins?McParadigm wrote:Sad to think that such a cockrock little moment is also their unassailable highwater mark for the last 11 years.theplatypus wrote:McParadigm wrote: No, I mean the one where the music kind of goes "dun dun dundun buh....dun dundun buh buh buh dun."

I liked the fact that Mirella took a good stab at it.Farmer John wrote:My Father's Son continues to be the song I'm most intrigued about. No one can seem to describe it.

A lot of hate/dislike for AtW on here huh? I always thought it was a pretty uplifting song and, dare I say it, the closest thing to "classic Pearl Jam" that they've done in the past 15 years.
