With all the Denzel talk on the previous page I finally got around to watching Fallen. It was alright

Yes, dev. The Gosling pic.

Lost River was good, not great.

Gosling could be an excellent filmmaker someday. But he's got to find confidence in his own voice. Lost River borrows too much from idols to stand totally on its own.

But it's so well photographed. The cinematography is outstanding. And Gosling is able to get competent performances from his cast. A really engaging film that I think will probably open up on repeated viewings. Glad I finally saw it. Flawed, to be sure, but entertaining and well worth the time.

Galifianakis, Sudeikis, and McKinnon were all fantastic in Masterminds. Especially McKinnon - she was otherworldly. Stole every scene. I think I'm gonna have to watch Ghostbusters just for her.
