Re-signed Gholston today. Was a no-brainer but I'm glad it is done.

Yeah, but apparently they just offered him a huge contract today.Green Habit wrote:Very smart re-signing by Tampa Bay.
It would also be smart if they let Glennon walk for a huge contract and make sure they preserve a 3rd round comp pick for him in 2018.
Really? Why? Who reported on this?E.H. Ruddock wrote:Yeah, but apparently they just offered him a huge contract today.Green Habit wrote:Very smart re-signing by Tampa Bay.

He won't sign with them though. He wants to be a starter. He'll probably end up in San Fran.
If Glennon signs for that reported $14-$15 million, they'll easily be eligible for a 3rd round comp pick. But the trick is that they can't sign too many UFAs of their own or they'll cancel that pick out. It'll be interesting to see how TB approaches that.jwfocker wrote:Thank god. he gets a huge deal and the bucs get a 3rd/4th round pick. It's a win win for everyone but 49er fans.E.H. Quizz is a good backup and knows the offense. Dependable, tough and cheap but no upgrade. I'm not sure how great Murray is after contact but he's a great scorer. I'm also unsure of his hands.E.H. You aren't missing anything. He is a solid backup. He may have done better with better pieces around him, but a new regime came in in Tampa and never gave him a chance. He may have done better with better players around him, but alas, the Bears don't offer that either.Kaius wrote:Will someone here tell me wtf I'm missing with Glennon?
