By being suspended for last game of season, Gordon will be active for only 5 games this season, falling one game short of what he needs for an accredited season. Thus, after next season, Gordon will be a restricted free agent, not the unrestricted free agent he was scheduled to be. In the NFL, a player needs to be active for six games to earn an accredited season. He needs to become an unrestricted free agent. Gordon was active for five games this season, due to his suspensions, and with this most recent one, will fall one game short of having this count as an accredited season toward free agency.
did the browns steal his alarm clock or take the air out of his tires or something?

I know this is meaningless to most but Ill be tweeting from the @detroitlions account tomorrow during the game. It's a fan account acquired in the early days of twitter.

I imagine they must have a legit reason. Otherwise, the NFLPA will have a goddam field day.

they do, he was late to practice yesterday, then missed an entire walk through this morning.

jonathan pigskin also missed the walk through, but he's on IR so suspending him for the game would be redundant. he was fined.

Well so much for the silly Falcons playoff talk; they've obviously not even close to being a playoff team. I'm more let down by the GM than the head coach.
The local Atlanta teams can tease like any good stripper should; just don't expect a big payoff at the end with either. I know, the Braves won it all but that was nearly 20 years ago. And yes, I am including the Bulldogs in the mix.
