i really did enjoy man of steel. out of all the complaints the only thing i can agree on is all the damage. but then once you realize while the movie is called superman he is just becoming superman so he isnt quite there yet in terms of his pedigree that we are all used to

when i realized it was a superhero movie is when i was just fine with all the damage.

Superman: He Is Just Becoming Superman So He Isn't Quite There Yet sounds like it would be an awesome movie, actually.

I don't mind the destruction. It's a draw, actually. And The battle of NY in Avengers is wonderful and 40 minutes long. So it's not the length. MoS just started to feel monotonous and one note. Avengers was probably helped by multiple characters, which helped to break things up (and the brighter color palate)

that was nicely done--it had precisely the right insipid and vaguely offensive self congratulatory tone of all business advertising.

Do we have a thread for the next stand-alone Batman movie yet? I couldn't find one if we do...
Anyway, here's a RUMOR about that movie, whenever it happens.
Cool story. Not a fan of what they did with Jason Todd, but it could be nice to see on screen.
Same. I'm excited to see what changes (if any) a cinematic version would employ.
Yeah and specially if this means they are going forward with the Batman story...i mean, there was already a Robin, Nightwing also exists...and to not have a Robin introduction could be fresh.

I totally agree.
I LOVE the idea of picking up in the middle of a world where Batman has a history and Robin is just a fact that doesn't need explaining.

For some reason my home didn't stop playing Never Ever Worry when this started. It made for a superb trailer.
