Man, I wish I could lie to my creditors and get out of my contracts as easily. "I'm sorry Verizon, I need to rethink whether I'm going to use a cell phone ever again."

I'm really interested in that. I thought Tusk was super underrated.theplatypus wrote:I watched Yoga Hosers today. It was nowhere near as bad as I expected. In fact, I found it kind of charming.
Tusk started as, maybe his best movie and ended up super stupid...Hell, he put his podcast comments in the credit scenes....why Kevin?LoathedVermin72 wrote:I'm really interested in that. Did you like Red State at all?LoathedVermin72 wrote:I'm really interested in that. I thought Tusk was super underrated.theplatypus wrote:I watched Yoga Hosers today. It was nowhere near as bad as I expected. In fact, I found it kind of charming.

What did you liked about the ending of Tusk?LoathedVermin72 wrote:I loved the ending of Tusk and I positively despised Red State.
I think it's similar to Knock Knock: a veiled critique of social media and internet culture. And if there's any subject Kevin Smith is qualified to explore, it's probably that one. The main character is reduced to an ironic joke by the end of the movie. He loses his humanity and dignity to absurdity. It's a gonzo and interesting movie, I think.VinylGuy wrote:What did you liked about the ending of Tusk?LoathedVermin72 wrote:I loved the ending of Tusk and I positively despised Red State.
I loved that..but he kinda ruins it with the joke at the end...the whole podcast stuff where he is laughing about the end we just saw. Its like he is afraid of commit with the movie, with the premise of what we saw, and he needs to tell us that everything was just an ironic joke.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I think it's similar to Knock Knock: a veiled critique of social media and internet culture. That's what I thought.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I loved the ending of Tusk and I positively despised Red State.
That's an impressive movie. Flanagan is one of the most interesting directors around.Bi_3 wrote:"Absentia"
Decent, very low budget horror film. I can't imagine this movie cost more $200k, and all that was likely permit and SAG fees.
For sure an amazing use of limited resources with several pretty tense scenes. I would have liked it more if the dudes playing the cops weren't over-acting.LoathedVermin72 wrote:That's an impressive movie. Flanagan is one of the most interesting directors around.Bi_3 wrote:"Absentia"

He explained that. Something about it being a product of the podcast so he wanted everyone to know where it came from.VinylGuy wrote:Tusk started as, maybe his best movie and ended up super stupid...Hell, he put his podcast comments in the credit scenes....why Kevin?LoathedVermin72 wrote:I'm really interested in that. Well, it did ruin the whole thing for me. Everyone was laughing when he was discussing the ending.bune wrote:He explained that.
