It speaks to his poser desire to intimidate and his fake 'battle damage' on it to affect credibility he doesn't have.

Still can't find out for 100% but apparently the hot ashes he leaves it on are Vaders from the funeral pyre. There's a backstory about him getting them and the helmet from a stormtrooper squad leader who collected them at the time.

Love to find out if it's legit.
Yeah, that's pretty badass. If true.

I'd wondered about those ashes. Makes sense.

I love it

I love how he walks & his posture. That scene when he's thumping down the hall having been beaten by Rey in the interrogation and Snoke has taken the task off him and he's stomping back to the interrogation room and the camera is kinda under him in front. Looks so cool.

They really walked the line between petulant bully and sith badass so well. I think he's the most interesting character to appear in SW so far - I can't wait to see where they go with him

He's not - but it was easier than typing 'intimidating evil force user in a mask'

I also love that everyone who works with him knows how silly this whole thing is but are too afraid of him to say anything

Would you be okay with your students factually misrepresenting something as long as it was "easier" to say something else?

Well, he's determined. We know that much.
He's just been beaten by an untrained girl who's left him psychologically and more importantly (cos it's Star Wars) physically scarred.

If anything she's given him the kick up the ass he wanted/needed to really pull his socks up and go full dark.

Her undoing of him actually hurts him more than him killing his father.
That's simple macho stuff but they have a whole playground to work on when it comes to him.

And I really think Rian Johnson is the man to do it.

Ren isn't beaten as much as he is emasculated

He probably shouldn't have hit himself in the gut so much.

Just saw this for the second time. It was fun, but I think I'm done with it for a while now
