I didn't know about being a "good introduction" but DAMN by Kendrick Lamar is everything..

Just make sure Atmosphere's "Guarantees" is one of the tunes you check out on that album.

A Tribe Called Quest for sure

i will add Beastie Boys - Ill Comunication, not because i consider it to be a rap album but because its a great mix of stuff and it could work as an opener for more things

Vanilla Ice “To The Exteme”

I haven't really posted about it but when I was very young (12-13) and just getting into music, an older kid at school (in my grade, but held back a couple years) sort of took me under his wing and showed me a bunch of the music he was into, and it included a bunch of No Limit stuff. Master P, Mystikal, Soulja Slim, all those guys with the eyesore album covers that I thought were so cool. I listened to those albums a lot around that time, but later I completely abandoned them. He also showed me Radiohead for the first time. Things didn't turn out great for that kid.

Anyway, like a lot of people my age I got super into Wu-Tang Clan in my teens. I think Enter the Wu-Tang is a solid intro if you come from a rock background. It has that irreverence and aggression, and it holds up

I'd recommend Danger Mouse & Black Thought's "Cheat Codes".
If not the whole album, at least this track:

I'd say they were hit or miss, a few of my favorite shows were there's and one of the few I've walked out on were there's as well.
