Deciding whether to watch Curtains or Valentine. I’ll keep everyone posted on what I end up picking.

Watched Curtains. This is a movie that really benefited from being hard to find for a long time. I remember finally getting hold of a torrent of a vhs copy and thinking it basically felt like an episode of Murder, She Wrote but with violence and nudity. Still feels that way on blu-ray. I generally enjoy Canadian tax haven genre movies from the late 70s-early 80s, but it’ll probably be a long time before I watch this one again.

Hounds Of Love.

Very well made, tense with some gorgeous framing and a great use of the off image. The lead girl is so fucking good; I saw her at the Nosferatu series of Joe Hill and was already shocked.

Yeah they do. I love how it shows the violence almost without showing any.

On the other hand I wonder if the concept would work better on a tv. Hmm.

Final Destination 3.

Ah, what a fucking wild ride these movies are! i love them. This one used to be my fav mainly because of mary elizabeth winstead but i think the end didnt hold up that well on this view.

I might watch all of them!

I rewatched them all last year when the podcast With Gourley and Rust covered them. It was a (mostly) fun ride.
