Have your wife pray over it.

Feeling much better, but I'm stupid busy again. Going on vacation this weekend which will help.

pretty sure i have the covid. the strain that's been going around here affects the GI tract, and last night felt like someone was wringing my stomach out like a wet towel. at one point it was so bad i thought i was going to pass out. cold sweats and a sleepless night later, and i still feel like crap (but not as bad as last night, thankfully).

Have felt off all day, but especially strange right now. I think I need to force myself to sleep…

Spike, do you concur that Johnnie’s is the best?

It seems to be the consensus pick. Had it years ago because of the buzz and it was very good, but I also haven’t had too many bad beefs. Kind of hard to fuck up.

Unless you guys are renting a car and have an afternoon free, you won’t be bothered to go there - it’s too far from downtown. Just go to Portillo’s on Clark and La Salle.

Yeah we looked it up. We won’t have a car and would have to find transportation. Thanks for the closer recommendation.

Al’s Beef is a classic too.

Plenty of hole in the wall grease pits will have them too. Get it with an Italian sausage inside if you really want to abuse yourself.

We actually saw that place online when we were looking a couple of nights ago.

I think the sausage would be delicious, but too much.

That’s where I’ve always landed too. Dipped with sweet and hot peppers is the way to go.

We may just do Al’s since it’s right there.

Al’s Beef sucks. Their giardiniera isn’t salted and only has oil, green pepper, and celery.

Go to Portillos.
