I didn't have a problem with HHH winning(I knew there was no way he was going to lay down for Sting,) but like I said I didn't like how what was booked for months as a very serious match was turned into a joke.

For all the complaining hardcore wrestling fans do about the current WWE product, right now the main champions are Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, and Cesaro and Tyson Kidd. That's pretty awesome. Work rate motherfuckers.

Part of me thinks it's a way to stick it to Sting and make him look foolish for not signing with WWE in 2002.

I stand by my comments about HHH though. He needs to stick to his role with the authority and developing NXT. He is great at that. He is as big of a mark for himself though as Hogan was. I just hope this isn't the last we see of Sting in the ring.

Haha exactly. Got in a convo about that with a buddy today. Three of the best in RoH history are currently champs. Pretty awesome. Good sign for guys like Owens and Zayn.

HHH isn't close to as bad as Hogan. I know he buried Punk and some others, but he has a lengthy resume of putting people over. You think Hogan would have put someone like Benoit over in the main event of a Wrestlemania, or Bryan last year? Not a million years. Who did he ever put over other than Warrior that one time? He was so pissed about having to do that that he was still worried about getting a job in return 10 years later. When it comes to burying people and ego, no one is in Hogan's league.

HHH will job sometimes true. I think he is more willing to do it now than the AE/Ruthless Agression era. It's ridiculous how strong HHH looked from 1999-2002 and that was not even his peak era for winning championships.

True HHH tapped to Benoit. Which was amazing to see at the time. But he had the belt back a few months later after Orton won it from Benoit. It's crazy guys like HHH and Orton have so many titles. Not that kayfabe titles mean much it's just odd.

Hogan also never put Savage over. Like NEVER! Different era I guess and I wonder how much of that was Vince too? Hard to say.

HHH even put Hogan over for that absurd title run Hogan got in 02. What HHH did to Punk, and Booker T for that matter, was bad, but he would have never pulled what Hogan did at Wrestlemania 9 or the Starrcade against Sting.

True true. By mark for themselves I guess I mean taking themselves too seriously. HHH is def willing to job more. I'm sure a lot of my problems with HHH have to do with him playing a key role in running off one of my all time favs in Punk.

My biggest problem with Hogan (besides never putting Savage over) was Starcade 96 when sure he jobbed to Piper but it was a non title match.....at their biggest show of the year. Piper deserved the title that night.

Wrestlemania 9 is one of the worst PPVs ever. Just pure garbage outside of a fun tag match and solid IC title match. I liked Yokozuna so I was happy to see him squash Hogan a few weeks later.

Yeah, I hate what he did with Punk. The Booker T one was even worse to me, when he waited like half a minute to pin him after the pedigree was terrible. I actually watched that Mania last week and the racial overtones in that match were cringe-worthy.

Agreed. Pretty pathetic. I'm surprised sometimes Booker is still with the company. His wrestling school in Houston is one of the better ones out there I hear.

I have a love/hate thing with HHH. I hated his reigns of terror in the 2000s and what he did to Punk, and the benefits he has reaped from marrying into the McMahon family. On the other hand, he's always been a tremendous worker that cultivated a great character. He's one of the top 5 heels of all time. He is the brains behind NXT which is the best thing going in wrestling today.

Oh agreed. If not the 2nd best heel ever behind Flair. Great mind for the business.

I love that he is all about the history of the business and geniuely loves the art of wrestling, rather than "sports entertainment."

The one thing about HHH I've always found interesting, despite the fact that he is a great worker with great ring psychology, he has never had a classic signature one on one match.

you guys are really fans. this was my first live mania since hogan body slammed andre in the silver dome. i loved it. the curb stomp into the rko is one of the coolest things i have ever seen. in the short time i have been watching, i have become a fan of two characters in particular: 1) rollins. he completely won me over at the rumble with his high flying antics. i also like how he looks like antinous from the odyssey. 2) ambrose. i like that he walks with his face way out in front, like he's looking for a fight. i hate that shit he does between the ropes every match (like he's almost going out), but other than that, he's pretty good. i could not believe the way he went through that ladder last night. i just don't know where they're going with him. couldn't he go back to being a heel pretty easily?

Savage beat Hogan 4 times in WWE by countout, twice by DQ in WCW, 1 time by DQ in a handicap match and 1 time by DQ in a tag team match. and TWICE in WcW, Savage won the title at a PPV (spring stampede vs Sting, and some other PPV vs Nash) only to have Hogan book/talk his way into beating Savage, THE NEXT NIGHT! yeah, he had TWO 1 day reigns. And Hogan never once gave Savage a clean pinfall victory.

HHH however buries people in the promos, its not even that hes GREAT on the mic, its just where he takes the debate.

Sting should have beaten HHH for 2 reasons. 1 - if its going to be Stings only match, give him a win (especially with all the interference who cares who wins, give Sting the moment youve had yours HHH) 2 - if its not Stings only match, like say if him and Taker do go out next mania for the one last dance... Taker can win and Sting doesnt end up 0-2. You know he wont beat Taker, and Stinger should not be stuck 0-2 at Mania 3 - Nash helping Sting wasnt HORRIBLE, They were both Wolfpac, and, Macho Man and Sid beat Sting and Nash for the WcW belt (that Hogan won the next night) so they at least had SOME History. But Sting was always vs Hogans NWO, and, Hall and Nash are part of the lil kliq. If i was booking it, id have had Sting vs HHH, with Dx, HBK, and the NWO (but only Hall and Nash since theyre all buddies with HHH and HBK) then have the Red and Yellow Hulk try and make the save, but of course they get beat down. Hit the dead mans music, helps Sting win, and says "next year"

OH! or DDP coming in for the diamond cutter on Trips to get Sting the win, THAT should have happened (since the Madness wasnt going to be able to make the save)

That was a great spot; it sucked that the announcers had to give that to Orton, when it was obvious that it was all Rollins. It got overshadowed by his later win, but it was a cool moment.
