I was just curious if there was a specific news story or event that caused LV to post about it. I tried searching the news but couldn't find anything. Just didn't know if I'd missed something

Nothing specific. He made two very successful and well-liked blockbusters and it’s now been over two years with zero news about him doing another project. Doesn’t add up.

Also, “director jail” generally isn’t a verifiable thing, and the people involved don’t usually confirm it until years later. Talking about it publicly would only damage one’s career further.

Maybe he's just burned out after working on such a big budget, high pressure film? I dunno.

He’s a fantastic director. I hope he gets a great project soon.

I know a guy out in LA who talked to Edwards in passing recently and Edwards said he had stuff in the works. He hinted at potential new Star Wars content, too. I wonder if they'll announce that he's involved in one of the streaming shows or something at Celebration in April?

Either way I hope he does something soon. He's a great director.
