At this point I'd rather have an imprisoned watson than tua

Tua is not the problem and Watson can’t fix everything.

Hes a big part of the problem and watson would fix a bunch

Watson can throw an accurate pass past 10 yards.. teams aren't gonna blitz the house on him either or he'll make them pay

Most importantly the rest of the team won't quit on the season with a competent qb (kinda like last season when fitz was in the lineup)

They'd be at least 5-3 w DW

I see both sides of the argument, and both have legitimate points. I would like to use resources to build around Tua, who I think will only get better with time and experience and a better supporting cast. I would also like to have an already established elite QB for a decade in Watson. I also would hate to see Tua go to another team and turn out to be their great franchise QB for over a decade. Let's just see what happens and what the team decides. I think I would prefer to ride with Tua the rest of the season and see how he improves and see what we have in him and if he regresses or doesn't improve, look into Rodgers, Wilson, or Watson in the off-season.

I just don't see anything in tua that leads me to believe that he can be anything special

I also think that the fact that Houston wants no part of him in the deal speaks volumes.. actually nobody but washington seems to want him, which is kinda scary as well

I don't know man, some of those throws yesterday were pretty incredible. He just has to be more consistent, which is hard when your o-line is so atrocious. I'm sure there are many teams who would be glad to have him. You just don't know.

Hes never really shown any qualities of a great leader either

He is only 23 which is the only saving grace in my eyes.. Marino wouldn't have put up with guys half assing it like they are now.. I mean just look at the disgust on his face.. even when they scored at the end there vs atl knowing they scored too fast

In his defense it's hard to get in sync w players that play when they feel like it

But are they only playing when they feel like it because of him?

I thought leadership and character were two of his best qualities... you just don't know. It's easy to point fingers at the QB when things are so bad.

I'd like to see him chew these guys out when they fuck up.. Marino was never shy to do that

Different styles dude. We're not in the locker room either. There's definitely a lot of communicating from what I saw. I just really doubt leadership is a problem with him from all we've heard from so many reputable people.

Maybe I'm just wording it wrong, he just doesn't seem to have that swagger of a superstar qb

he's only played like 14 games in the NFL.. have to learn how to walk before you can swagger

Yeah, Herbert is way better so far. But that's anecdotal. There are also many examples of great QBs absolutely sucking their first couple of years.

I get that but there's prob way more that started sucking and continued n ended sucking than say a Josh Allen

Maybe tua just needs a Diggs
