My son has been mad keen on spearfishing with his mates lately. They were stalked by a 2.5m croc the other week. Thankfully they had a spotter for exactly that eventuality, so all was fine. Freaked the absolute fuck out of his Mum when he told her the story though.

In all honesty it's pretty unusual behaviour for a croc. The lads usually dive out in the ocean off shore around reefs/bombies etc, and crocs tend to hang in creeks. This one was just an inquisitive little fucker.Rangi Guy wrote:Screw that! But I'm with you as far as a healthy respect (fear) of crocs goes. Not going anywhere near them thanks.

Oldest son is a senior in hs. Tonight his soccer team lost in overtime on a penalty shot in the state tournament. I’ll still get to watch him play in-house basketball this winter and run track in the spring, but soccer is the sport he’s been playing his whole life. I can hardly believe I just watched his last game. After the game tonight he sent me a text from the bus: “Thank you for always coming to my games.”
Hold on tight, young parents. It goes so damn fast.

You southern hemisphere lads are fucking unreal. I read your posts and think of George and Jerry’s conversation: We are not men.Higgs wrote:In all honesty it's pretty unusual behaviour for a croc. My know it all father in law mentioned crocs in the ocean recently, but said they’re just transiting to another creek/river so not really in hunt mode. I just said uh huh, sure.Higgs wrote:In all honesty it's pretty unusual behaviour for a croc. I sometimes pick up McDonald's fries on a whim when I'm transitioning between home and the office when I'm not in hunt mode either. See a croc, steer clear I say. Those things are stone cold killers and do not give a fuck.
