I love him.
Me too. The Book of Eli score is one of the greatest things ever.

I don't remember the score to that movie. I was just so so bored by what was happening on screen.

Happy to announce that THE FORCE AWAKENS by Alan Dean Foster has hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list! Thank you everyone!

I got the audiobook and only managed a third of it. There is a ton more stuff in the book that answers a lot of questions and perceived plot holes/discrepancies.

But not written all that well imo. Though it does include all the relevant sound effects and music at the right times
I'm about an hour and a half into it. Not only written poorly, but the narrator is awful as well. Agreed, it is nice hearing actual sound effects like BB-8.

Yeah the narrator is kind of awful but hes really good at doing the different voices.

Oh man, he loved it. And I had to drag him to this thing. He had an absolute blast and was thrilled with basically everything.

Still think they're gonna have a hard time getting the public engaged again with four films in the space of a years or so. And differentiating between the add on films like rogue one and episodes. Might be overkill.

Maybe. But the question on most often asked is about the prequels and the originals we grew up with and people being confused about the order to watch em n stuff.

Ignore the prequels completely is my go to answer.

But the marketing will have to do a great job at explaining this film and how it fits in the timeline and engaging them enough to see a film in which they already know the outcome.

It says Star Wars on it. People will flock to it.

They'll definitely reduce the franchise's impact with oversaturation, and with that much product around there will inevitably be movies that get a negative reaction or bad reviews...which will end the "all Star Wars is good Star Wars except prequel Star Wars" goodwill that this first set benefits from.

But so what? Instead of all caps STAR WARS OMG it'll probably be roughly on a level with where Avengers is right now as a brand. Hardly a problem for Disney.

The era of remakes is over. All hail King Shared Universe.
