Wrong
Look I don't agree with your opinion that TLJ is a bigger pile of garbage and deserves more hate than TFA, but I respect it.
Haha

All I wanted in this film. And man does it deliver. I cry every time. Which is probably why this isn’t as rewatchable for me as tfa or any others.
Probably the most gut wrenching heartbreaking scene in all Star Wars
And the way it mirrors in reverse their conversation in ROTJ is just sublime.
Luke telling Leia he has to go save Vader. There’s still good in him. And she begs him to flee
Luke telling Leia he can’t save Ben. And she accepts it and knows her son is gone
Fucking heartbreaking

There is something off for me about Luke not physically being on Crait, but Kylo not seeing or sensing it.
The dialogue and acting is off the charts between Driver and Hamill though.

Watch it closely. He senses Luke before he sees him.
His entire presence is there and the force is with him.
Kylo wrapped up already in rage and now further pushed into even panic as Luke survives the onslaught from the walkers ...
His vision isn’t exactly clear it’s completely clouded by rage and anger.
No wonder he wouldn’t know
But all the rebels thought he was there too except Leia who knew he wasn’t

The end.
The trilogy would be better if JJ made all three, but there are aspects of TLJ that will live on in glory and in history. I do wonder to what degree JJ and Rian worked together, and my feeling, is not a lot. But I love how JJ took the best parts of this, and made TROS better because of it.
TLJ has a really solid movie inside it, but I still feel like its weak parts are holding it down.

It keeps true to Star Wars flaws though
From the moment you realised that Darth Vader – a man with "The Force" coursing through his veins like milk through a cow's teat, apparently – still couldn't recognise that the woman standing in front of him was his own daughter, then you knew, deep down, that Star Wars was rubbish.

It probably would have killed Abrams. I can't imagine the burden these films place on their directors.

She wasn't force aware at that point and never had training. Is it possible for someone to be completely unaware of their own force nature, and therefore not be 'force visible' to another user of the force?

Possibly? I mean, they only tested Anakin after watching him race right?

The very reason directors of colour and women directors won’t go near it.
Ultra abusive backlash. Not something they want to deal with. Not a good look when trying to get hired by a studio for anything else

You clearly haven’t seen rise of skywalker or the Mandalorian.
I’ll say no more

I love Last Jedi without reservation. Rian Johnson should not have been allowed to make it.

I think really the only small issues I have with it now are:
1. The comical exchange between Hux and Poe in the beginning
2. Leia’s float through space (the execution of the idea)
3. Rose’s weak-ass kiss with Finn
Otherwise, damn, this might be my third favorite after ANH and ESB
Welcome.
