Expanding playoffs outside of a shortened 2020 season is dumb, but as long as there's still some kind of advantage to having regular season success, I don't care that much. A 1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, etc. format would be horrible.
NL DH is great.

Not going to quibble with a different format this season, everything is a mess and nothing is ideal.

So wait, the idea for next year is a full 162 games PLUS expanded playoffs to 16 teams? Fuck that. Too many participation trophies. Kill a month of the regular season then add playoff teams.

I just want another Mariners/Astros series. Is that too much to ask?

Instead of trying to get a season going this year, it sounds like they are getting a jumpstart on CBA negotiations. Eff that.
baseball ain’t happening this year. And they might run into problems next year when they do try to redo the CBA. Doesn’t bode well for anyone invested in baseball.

There shouldn't be a season this year. We should all stay home. It's a good time to get into e-sports

I'm just hopeful there's a 2021 season because a lost season in 2020 and 2022 seems inevitable.

Yeah, was thinking about this yesterday. Say this season does not happen and then next year is some shortened clusterF. They could potentially be looking at a 4 year period where there were 3 months of baseball. Baseball wont recover from that and would be a niche interest going forward.

Now would be the perfect time to move on from baseball. What can we repurpose the parks into? Al Fresco dining?
