Yeah, pretty cool that he took lessons from the Afghan Whigs drummer.

So, the studio version of Graceless is such a letdown compared to the live one, their capacity of restrained energy is starting to bug me.

yeah. gonna have to disagree on Graceless.Hypnosomnia wrote:Also, the studio version of Heavenfaced is so underwhelming. Wtf happened?Hypnosomnia wrote:So, the studio version of Graceless is such a letdown compared to the live one, their capacity of restrained energy is starting to bug me.
that's the problem with listening to live versions too much before an album comes out, you run the risk of ruining the album for yourself.
this album couldn't be any more perfect for what I expected/wanted out of this band at this point in their careers. Slipped is one of the finest songs Matt has ever written for me.
can't wait for DC/Richmond shows next month, and St. Paul/Madison/Red Rocks this fall.

I'm guessing those within earshot already thought it was quite charitable when they actually stopped playing the same song endlessly.solace wrote:for charity.Tass Man wrote:apparently they're planning on releasing their 6 hour set of Sorrow in a 10 LP boxset??

hah. they knew what they were getting into when they attended... plus people were only being allowed in the dome for 20 minutes at a time. you had to have some special VIP pass to stay longer.Gods' Die wrote:I'm guessing those within earshot already thought it was quite charitable when they actually stopped playing the same song endlessly.solace wrote:for charity.Tass Man wrote:apparently they're planning on releasing their 6 hour set of Sorrow in a 10 LP boxset??

Is monumental, unlike the studio version.
